Job Description:

The Process Design Consultant I (PDC) will be a key member of the Enterprise Transaction Services (ETS)  process engineering team; leading cross functional efforts to transform and simplify core Bank of America support services. ETS supports our consumer and commercial organizations with check/image processing, cash and transportation management, enterprise card issuance and document processing services.  This role will work on projects that span multiple business units, processes and technology solutions, robotic process automation and general process improvement activities.
The role will support the end to end process design for future state business process utilizing effective process documentation. Owns responsibility for effective process analysis, design and execution for strategic initiatives. Builds consensus of the process, guiding business leaders throughout the process in a highly regulated environment.

Required activities:

  • Provide strategic and tactical recommended actions and executes an implementation roadmap

  • Work with business subject matter experts to design or redesign business processes

  • Integrate best practices found within the business, optimizing the platform and streamlining work processes

  • Build action plans to drive execution

  • Must have the ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables at the same time

  • Utilize influencing skills to lead teams to achieve process or project objectives

Required skills / competencies:

  • Financial system knowledge / business acumen

  • Process improvement / design and project management experience

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Intermediate MS office skills

  • Process map development and design skills within Visio software

  • Strong communication and presentation skills; able to target messaging across the organization

  • Action oriented

  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity

  • Makes good decisions based on a mixture of analysis and judgment

  • Brings creative ideas and facilitates effective brainstorming

  • Strong presence and leadership skills and ability to communicate at an executive level

  • Strong ability to influence and lead diverse groups to achieve desired results

  • Ability to work independently – set and manage plans, achieve results

  • Highly organized and able to effectively multi-task and plan/manage deliverables

  • Demonstrated ability to drive action and sustain momentum to achieve results

  • Strong ability to establish relationships with partners and peers across teams in order to achieve optimal results

Desired skills / competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Extensive knowledge of Enterprise Transaction Services core services or business partners

  • Consulting or change management experience

  • Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt certified
