Role: L2 Network Operations Engineer
Shift Schedule: 3 and 4 working day shift per week, 12 hours (36 hours one week / 44 hours next week)
Location: Blend – Remote and onsite (Jacksonville, FL) . Need to be onsite
3 year contract.
Term: 3 years – now to 12/31/2024
2000 Hours per year.
At least 5-6 years working experience in the role of network administration / network operations.
Engineering or diploma with CCNA & CCNP certified.
Strong working knowledge on Cisco networking routing and switching products.
Good communications and interpersonal skills.
Familiar with routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, Multicast etc.
Familiar with LAN, trunking protocols, HSRP etc
Familiar with Cisco ACI (hardware/software), Nexus Insights
Familiar with DNS and DHCP services
Familiar with Google Cloud
Familiar with Cisco Wireless and Prime
Good knowledge of firewall operations.
Checkpoint investigation experience
Experience in banking environment.
Familiarity with sniffers & their use in troubleshooting; Wireshark
Basic understanding of Riverbed, F5, Juniper, McAfee Proxies
Understanding of ITIL framework.
Roles / Responsibility
Need to perform 12 hours shifts and on-call escalation
Act as technical lead during shift hours managing 2 to 3 Level 1 Network Engineers.
Act as a single point of contact for technical escalation during shift hours.
Do shift handover with remote & on-site team.
Proficient in resolving, troubleshooting & leading networks related issues.
LAN/WAN/MAN, architecture and troubleshooting.
Have full understanding of operational knowledge for troubleshooting of routing protocols like EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, RIP, etc.
Have basic understanding of sniffers and how to use the sniffer for troubleshooting purposes.
