Commercial Banking provides financial solutions to businesses with annual sales generally in excess of $5 million. Our business lines are Wells Fargo Commercial Capital, Middle Market Banking, and Treasury Management & Payment Solutions.
Middle Market Banking
o Services private and public companies with annual sales of $5 million to $2 billion
o Specialized expertise across industry sectors
Responsible for overseeing lending activities for either a geographic region or for a designated market niche.
Functions include: planning, organizing, and assisting management in accomplishing business goals; approving loans in excess of unit/department or credit officer authority levels; ensuring conformity with company/regulatory policies and procedures; developing guidance polices; monitoring delinquency, loss and risk rating accuracy across all assigned business units; assisting relationship managers and other senior officers with structuring, pricing and documentation of larger commercial loan transactions; monitoring and reviewing group's loan underwriting and portfolio management performance for senior management/regulatory agency review; analyzing new business prospects.
Other duties may include management of workout and loan operations units, and portfolio management activities associated with problem loan management.
Position can be located anywhere in the Wells Fargo East Coast footprint within the Commercial Banking Office cities

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business unit’s risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.
- 12+ years of lending experience
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of loan documentation
- Knowledge and understanding of problem loan resolution and workout situations

- Ability to approve a high volume of credit reports.
