The Finance Manager is responsible for leading all finance related activities and processes for the Manufacturing site, partnering with the Site Director and Functional leadership team. This position is a member of the Capital Equipment Platform Finance leadership team. Strong collaboration and clear communication with the extended Global Operations and Supply Chain Finance team as well as functional leaders across the Global Manufacturing Organization are key to drive alignment on objectives and to achieve outstanding financial results. Position reports to the Senior Director Finance, Capital Equipment Platform.

A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Act as a key member of the Jacksonville Site Leadership Team, providing analytical and influential business partnering support with insights to optimize financial performance, including financial statement analysis and KPI reporting commentary.
Lead the Jacksonville Operations Finance function, overseeing all relevant finance processes and tasks, including month-end close and financial reporting requirements, as well as performing employee development activities to ensure consistent high performance and foster career development.
Lead the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and forecasting processes for the site, inclusive of timely preparation, consolidation and presentation to senior management.
Apply accounting principles, practices, and internal controls procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP, local statutory accounting, SOX, as well as Medtronics worldwide finance policies and procedures, including developing and maintaining standard costs.
Establish and maintain capital and inventory processes to optimize cash flow, including managing fixed assets and inventory cycle counting processes and preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations.
Propose drive ad-hoc projects based on the strategic initiatives of the organization.
Develop Latest Best Estimates (LBE) for departmental expenses, cost centers period costs.
Propose and drive action plans to meet Cost KPI targets and expectations.
Upload forecasts in financial reporting systems and coordinate expense / FTE reporting.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
Bachelors Degree with 7+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting (Or Advanced Degree with 5+ years)
Nice to Have
CPA, Masters degree in Finance / Accounting or MBA preferred.
SAP and Hyperion experience.
Controllership experience and prior experience in FPA (Financial Planning Analysis).
Global Finance Experience, working in large, complex, matrix organizations.
Strong communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence multiple diverse stakeholders.
Strong quantitative and analytical skills for creating actionable insights and analysis.
