The Director of ITS, Business Transformation will provide leadership, direction, and execution for core ITS projects by overseeing the development, adoption, and continuous improvement of project management disciplines, processes, and standards to align with our client's strategy. This role will also be responsible for aligning with all areas of the business, to understand their technology needs, and implement operational improvements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and deliver large technology projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team
  • Translate complex strategies, problems, issues, and processes into actionable components
  • Stimulate action with a balanced leadership style of control, influence, and inspiration; quickly gains the respect of all levels of an organization
  • Work closely with the VP of IT to operationalize, track, and measure the success of key strategic initiatives
  • Deliver across diverse responsibilities and a broad range of projects and activities as a leader, manager, team member, and individual contributor
  • Assess system impacts at a program level across the technology architecture
  • Develop and maintain a systems roadmap, including gap analysis, prioritization, management, and maintenance of applications
  • Assess and develop organization objectives, structure, roles, metrics, and delivery processes for ERP deployment teams, and the ITS Project Management Office (PMO)
  • Assess and manipulate data and information to develop business and technical strategies and identify risks and improvement opportunities
  • Construct and communicate outstanding visual presentation of graphic, text, and quantitative information to senior executive-level audiences, and to audiences of varying level and expertise
  • Build and maintain detailed transformation standards including project plans, status reports, and other required documentation as appropriate to manage transformation interdependencies across initiatives and functional teams
  • Ensure each transformation project contains a value capture process to measure and track execution against plan and benefits realization to ongoing progress
  • Continuously refine project management process and standards focused on lean methodologies, adopting best practices to ensure optimal value delivery by implementing relevant metrics and regular reporting for transformation initiatives
  • Manage the full lifecycle of the system deployment and establish an approach on continued maintenance and emergency support functions, including monitoring, change management, and updates focused on the customers' needs
  • Partner with executive leaders to assess which initiatives have the highest potential value, impact, and strategic alignment
  • Ensure members of the PMO are aligned to the Business Segments and having a constant dialog with their assigned functions to have a clear understanding of their technology needs, challenges, and frustrations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 10 years of experience in management consulting, strategy, project, and program management, with broad business enterprise systems experience
  • 10+ years in Project Management leading teams and a minimum of 5 years experience in a management role with direct reports
  • 5+ years experience with D365 Finance and Operations preferred as well as advanced warehouse management systems
  • 2 + years experience with PowerAutomate, Azure Web Services, and D365 API integrations preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Administration
  • Experience moving major strategy projects forward with minimal oversight, and the ability to adapt to new information, situations, or challenges with minimal guidance
  • Strategic critical thinking skills and quantitative analysis skills, including experience in structuring high-level strategic issues into concrete analyses with actionable conclusions
  • Deep expertise in lean process-mapping techniques to illustrate process flows to provide a macro perspective, and translating details into opportunities for process re-engineering, and system automation
  • Ability to communicate clearly and compellingly about analyses, insights, and recommendations, and demonstrated ability to target presentation style, written or oral, to different audiences
  • Experience using project management processes and tools and establishing project management methodologies at other organizations with varying degrees of project management maturity
  • Experience building strong relationships with collaborators across an organization and external partners
  • Implementation experience with ERP and CRM preferred
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certification preferred
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, or Epicor ERP (Dynamics ERP preferred)
  • Experience in writing the functional and technical specifications for development

  • Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services – includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
  • Administration and Management – Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
  • Engineering and Technology – Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology – includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services
  • English Language – Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
