Our GPS Technology Organization is a structure within the US GPS practice that implements and maintains a new operate and technology model designed specifically to support U.S. defense and Government engagements.?

**The opportunity**

You'll have responsibilities within?the GPS Cyber Defense team to lead the development of information security architecture and ensuring our technology initiatives are implemented within our required security frameworks. Your contributions will include securing our application and cloud?platform?services and consult on various technology end-to-end service solutions across?the GPS business?unit including but not limited to architecture/design, service engineering, break/fix support, service roadmaps and standards, and vendor management.?You'll be responsible for ensuring stability for application platforms and/or services under their responsibility including resolution of incidents and problems, maintenance and support, application platform change control, and automation of processes and procedures.?Working closely with other teams within EY, you'll drive security technology standards and consistency across the GPS IT services.?

**Your key responsibilities** ?

_As the Security Architect, you will be involved in advising our technology support, development, and user engagement teams on cloud risk management strategies and multi-year implementation and remediation programs to align with the GPS Technology business priorities. You will also advise on Cyber Security/Defense needs to address risk exposure to the business. This includes identifying and defining problems, designing optimum solutions, implementation and provide support of new or enhanced security applications. In addition you will:_

+ Collaborate with our team of infrastructure solutions architects in an advisory capacity

+ Design, build and implement enterprise-class security systems for a production environment

+ Secure business information by identifying network and application security requirements, implementing and testing security controls and procedures

+ Align standards, frameworks and security with overall business and technology strategy

+ Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats

+ Design security architecture elements to mitigate threats as they emerge

+ Create solutions that balance business requirements with information and cyber security framework requirements

+ Confidently lead the Cloud Security Infrastructure Design and Architecture on client engagements

+ Assist engagement users with transitions to a GCCH Cloud environment from on-premises environments

+ Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements

+ Use current programming language and technologies to write code, complete programming and perform testing and debugging of applications

+ Train users in implementation or conversion of systems

+ Develop effective architecture solutions that not only satisfy immediate project requirements but also deliver a coherent, reusable, reliable and phased architecture to help the business grow and change while aligning to strategic vision.

+ Represent Cyber Defense on organizational project teams and ensure adherence to existing security policies and US Gov, NIST, DoD standards.

+ Manage the successful technical delivery of Information Security projects and services for our customers by working directly with key business stakeholders, executives, and project teams. Security architects are often the technical lead on initiatives and as such must drive the vision and alignment of the solution delivery. This is not a project manager role.

+ Deliver technical security configuration architecture expertise in implementing cross-organizational information sharing.

+ Develop solutions and recommendations for issues caused by process challenges, emerging threats, and technology changes.

+ Partner with all stakeholders and external vendors to manage: - design top tier security practices, develop, deploy strategic, innovative cloud-based security offerings, and support the best possible solution to meet EY business needs.

+ Assess and define problems or opportunities for improvement by providing documented business, functional, operational, and security requirements to be addressed by future state solutions

+ Design innovative solutions that address key lifecycle management functions to support the needs of the business

+ Communicate design approaches and recommendations effective to gain stakeholder approvals and agreements

+ Coordinate design activities across multiple teams and services to ensure successful completion of complex projects

+ Develop both technical and functional solutions that integrate with business processes

**Skills and attributes for success**

+ 5+ years of Information Technology/Security experience

+ 3+ years in an engineering role designing and supporting Azure

+ Security architecture, demonstrating solutions delivery, principles, and emerging technologies - Designing and implementing security solutions. This includes continuous monitoring and making improvements to those solutions, working with an information security team.

+ Understanding of industry regulatory and compliance requirements (FEDRAMP, NIST 800-171, 800-53, CMMC v.2, PCI-DSS, HIPPA) and skilled at interpreting the compliance security control requirements into deployable and repeatable processes.

+ Created and maintained security control policies and procedures, managing the protection of information systems

+ Experience with secure software development, DLP, cryptography, PKI, IAM, network security (Next Gen Firewall, Web Application Firewall, Host based Firewall, VPN) within Azure.

+ Understanding of Azure Administrator Roles, Units, and emergency accounts to enable policies at a granular level for access administration??

+ Strong organizational skills, self-motivated and able to work to tight deadlines?

+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills?

+ Effective teaming and knowledge sharing skills?

+ Advanced skills in planning, designing, and troubleshooting complex?cloud environments?

+ Strong ability to document processes, procedures, and security designs clearly and accurately for distribution to internal teams and customers?

+ Understanding of other technologies required to run a secure enterprise level infrastructure?

+ Demonstrated experience in dealing with external vendors and suppliers in the security industry?

+ Experienced with security testing tools which perform static and dynamic code review, vulnerability detection, threat analysis

+ Evaluating existing applications and infrastructure and advising on security enhancements and reducing operating cost

+ Self-motivated with an aptitude to learn quickly?

+ Ability to deal with ambiguity?

+ Have a global mind-set for working with different cultures and backgrounds

**To qualify?for the?role, you must have?**

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required?

+ 8+?plus years of combined cloud architecture, security architecture, network engineering, IAM architecture experience, hands-on?experience in designing and implementing?Azure Cloud?services

+ Knowledge of Agile methodologies

+ Working knowledge of SQL and Rational Database Administration (Opensearch/Elastisearch, MSSQL)

+ Working knowledge of Azure Security Center, Sentinel, Microsoft Defender suite

+ Experience with writing custom, scripting tools (KQL, Python, PowerShell, etc.), interacting with API's and shell scripting?

+ Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills?

+ Strong English language skills are required - written and verbal?

+ Good judgment, tact, and decision-making ability?

+ Ability to work in a diverse, multi-cultural, environment?

+ Ability to obtain and maintain Top secret security clearance

+ Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance level
