Vaco has an immediate opportunity for an Accountant to work a 3-6 month contract. This job is 100% onsite
The ideal candidate will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. The candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Performs general accounting and other related duties in the accounting department.
Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
Record transactions and categorize records in the general ledger.
Conduct month end activities including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Prepare and analyze accounting records and financial reports for accuracy and completeness.
Assist in the preparation of data requests for parent company.
Maintain accounting files and documentation.
Assist company during internal/external audits and updating internal controls.
Identify business processes in need of improvement and execute on enhancements.
Assist with projects and ad-hoc requests.
Accountabilities will consist of: End of the Month Closing, Inventory Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Clean & Upkeep, Sales and COGS Reconciliation.
Bachelor's degree in accounting required
2 years of experience of increasingly responsible accounting experience
Requires prior experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, SAP
Strong accounting knowledge and understanding of GAAP
Exceptional analytical skills, Excel proficiency, and attention to detail
Excellent communication (written, verbal and interpersonal), critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
