3rd Officer (minimum of 1600 Ton Master or Mate Upon Oceans) needed to work on various types of vessels inlcuding but not limited to : Offshore Supply Vessels, Research/Survey Vessels, and Dive Vessels

Tasks and Responsibilities:

is obligated to execute the safety- and environmental policy on board;
can acts as the dedicated Safety Officer when the vessel does not have a designated safety officer onboard as assigned by the Master;
always to comply with (inter)national legislation, flag state requirements, accepted industry standards, Company decrees and contracts;
executing activities assigned by the Master or Chief Officer;
maintaining contact with the Master, other Officers, and Crew;
supporting the Master with regard to the execution of the policies and procedures;
the management and maintenance of the safety equipment and fire fighting equipment under supervision of Chief Officer as appropriate;
keeping the vessel's administration and nautical books up to date under supervision of Chief Officer as appropriate;
contributes to the objective that the ship is always available to be deployed in a safe and efficient manner to carry out the voyage, the contract, the job or the project;
stand watches as Officer of the Watch;

Minimum Qualifications and Required Training/Documents:

Two (2) years of vessel operations experience in assigned area of responsibility, with at least six months as a Mate of a motor vessel, comparable military service, or maritime academy experience.

- Valid TWIC

- Valid MMC with a minimum of a 1600 Ton Oceans (or Near Coastal)

- Valid 719k Med Cert (two year)

- II/1 OICNW (500 Gross tons or more)

- II/2 Master, Chief Mates (500 Gross Tons or More)

- VI/1 Basic Training

- VI/2 Proficiency in the use of survival craft, rescue boats and fast rescue boats

- VI/3 Advanced Firefighting

- VI/4 First Aid and Medical Care

- VI/6 VPDSD/Security Awareness

- IV/2 GMDSS Radio Operator

** Computer and related software. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others. Ability to safely operate motor vehicles and tow trailers.
