Senior Clinical Administrative Coordinators are responsible for handling Outbound / Inbound calls from existing customers regarding a variety of resources/benefits to discuss with RN rather direct transfer or scheduled appointment for member callback. Using their knowledge of programs as well as great customer service skills, these Engagement Specialist agents provide support and offer information, as needed, to keep customers satisfied and retain business. Obtain client information by answering telephone calls; engaging clients; verifying and providing information.. This is no small opportunity. This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday – Friday. 5 hour Saturdays are required once a month Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am – 8:00pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.
You’ll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.
*All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.
- Outbound/Inbound calls using a predetermined script.
- Uses appropriate judgment when engaging and scheduling members
- Use appropriate Job Aid tools to preform job functions
- Provides continual evaluation of processes and procedures and suggestions for improving methods, efficiencies, and services;
- Assist Senior Management with daily operation of Call Center services to include the timely completion of assigned tasks and quality of work performed
This role is equally challenging and rewarding. You’ll be spending periods of time on the phone and called on to research complex issues. To do this, you’ll need to navigate across multiple databases which require fluency in computer navigation and toggling while confidently and compassionately engaging with the caller.

- High School Diploma / GED (or higher) or Equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 2+ years of Healthcare industry experience.
- If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders
- 1+ year of experience in a high-pressure phone environment
- Experience working with health care insurance
- Clerical or administrative support background or experience working in a call center environment
- Bilingual ability to read and write Spanish

Colorado Residents Only: The hourly range for Colorado residents is $17.12 to $30.34.
