Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 per year

The Senior Accountant is responsible for Financial Accounting and Reporting activities related to Inventory and Operations. The Senior Accountant will primarily be responsible for accounting and analytics related to the Company’s Inventory, Inventory Reserves, and all other components of Gross Margin. Additional accounting activities such as general ledger reconciliation, cycle counting, and transactional research and problem-solving will be required. This position will also work closely with the Operations team and all other members of the accounting department. The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Senior Finance Manager of Operations.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for processing accounting entries for Inventory and Instrumentation.
With collaboration from Sales and Operations, perform forecasting and inventory spend projections.
Support recurring S&OP Cycle including preparation and analysis of monthly results.
Prepare and analyze Finance Operations reports.
Monitor and analyze inventory transactions utilizing automated reporting tools.
Research root cause of inventory cost variances and other transactional occurrences.
Work with Operations team, create solutions for root cause issues.
Assist with Cycle Count Program and related inventory adjustments.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Understanding of Inventory Accounting and Operations cycles highly preferred
Technologically savvy with good knowledge of accounting and reporting software. NetSuite experience a plus.
Ability to grow into a position of higher responsibility.
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office products.
Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation versus strictly reporting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key information.
Flexibility and adaptability; teamwork and collaboration is a must
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, economics, or other related discipline.
Five (5) years’ experience in progressively more responsible accounting positions.
Three (3) years of experience outside of public accounting.
Certified Public Accountant preferred.
