Position Summary

Job Summary

Directs and manages the daily operations of the Deloitte US Member firm Office of Firm Security, including the major program areas of background investigations, access control and badging, high risk security, travel security, business continuity planning, internal investigations and crisis management.

Illustrative Duties and Responsibilities

* Lead several major program areas in the US Office of Firm Security including background investigations, access control and badging, high risk security, travel security, internal investigations and Mexico.
* Act as 2nd in command providing local, regional and national leadership with updates and reports regarding the US Office of Security, when the CSO is unavailable.
* Develop strategy to enhance the Office of Security
* Attend briefings and represent the CSO and/or the Security team at internal and external meetings and events
* Establish, submit and monitor the budget to ensure it is met or report any potential budget issues to leadership.
* Overall management of the team to include hiring, performance management and counseling, etc.
* Prepare briefings for the CSO on security activities
* Serve as a trusted advisor to CSO, OOS team members, leadership and other internal groups
* Serve as an advisor and subject matter expert on client engagements, as requested by the LCSP
* Manage and is responsible for overall third-party contractor and vendor relationships and evaluation of bid performance, including the guard force contract.
* Manages and is responsible for the US Firm Security team's relationships with government agencies and local law enforcement. Interact with government agencies and local law enforcement, as needed
* Prepares and delivers presentations to senior leadership as needed in times of crisis throughout world that may affect the Deloitte US Firm.
* Be available for round the clock response when necessary
* Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements

* Proficient and knowledgeable in a wide range of security related areas, such as security access control, investigations in a corporate environment, background investigations, business continuity, physical security, crisis management, etc.
* Proficient Microsoft Office skills
* Strong interpersonal skills; be able to articulate issues/concerns to guests/co-workers at every level. Does not shy away from difficult conversations
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Must work well under pressure and maintain composure/demeanor during crisis situations
* Ability to interface with public agencies and Firm leadership
* Ability to work outside normal business hours to include night, weekends, holidays, etc.

* Creating Quality Deliverable: Establishes deliverable structure and content; Reviews deliverables of self and others team to ensure that they meet client expectations; Implements and enforces high standards for quality deliverable

Required Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements:

* Must be available for on-call response 24/7
* Bachelors degree required; Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice, or related field preferred
* Minimum of ten (10) years combined experience in corporate security and/or law enforcement.
* At least two (2) years leading and establishing security efforts for large corporate or professional service industry environments or a leadership position in law enforcement.
* Capable of obtaining a U.S. Government security clearance
