A growing technology-driven aerospace, industrial defense company is looking to add a passionate Project Engineer to their team in Florida. $75-85K

MUST BE WILLING TO RELOCATE TO HOLLYWOOD, FL!

Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering

3-8 years aerospace/mechanical design experience is preferred

  • Experience using 3D CAD software (Pro-Engineer, Solidworks, etc.)
  • Experience with mechanical drafting, GD&T, inspection methods and manufacturing processes required
  • Knowledge of aircraft engine components, controls & accessories, and/or aircraft interiors is preferred
  • Knowledge of basic structural, thermal, and modal analysis of mechanical components is required
  • Knowledge of aerospace materials and coatings is preferred
  • Knowledge of conventional aerospace manufacturing methods, including; milling, turning, grinding, lapping, stamping, forging, casting, molding, EDM, ECM, welding, brazing, heat treating, etc. is preferred
  • Flexible in handling multiple tasks
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

ROLE

  • Develop designs and substantiation packages for FAA Parts Manufacturer Approval applications
  • Assist in the development of manufacturing processes for airworthy flight components
  • Coordinat first article or conformity inspection activities between the company's Quality Assurance department, ODA, Technical Services and management.
  • Develop vendor substantiation requirements for outside vendors
  • Support activities related to new vendor qualification including identification and selection
  • Support QA and vendors questions about drawing interpretation, manufacturing methods, inspection methods, etc.
  • Participate in the disposition of non-conforming materials
  • Complete Engineering Changes with supporting substantiation as required
  • Support customers and operators regarding our products
  • Advise more junior Engineers on designs, methods, regulations and procedures.
