Membership Sales & Experience

The Queen's Harbour Yacht & Country Club is seeking an outgoing and engaging Manager/Director dedicated to curating and enhancing 'ClubLife' and increasing Club Member Growth. As the Membership Sales & Experience Manager/Director, you are the face of the club and are responsible for sourcing, enrolling, onboarding, and connecting new Members. In addition, this role creates and hosts activities with the current Members and their guests to demonstrate Pride in Belonging. 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for recruiting and enrolling new Members into the Club to achieve the Club’s Membership sales goals
  • Ensures the enrollment process is complete and records Membership profile information
  • Develop and be accountable for New Member Welcome and Connect Steps, Member Intel and Name Recognition - New Member Onboarding
  • Create and execute quarterly game plans which defines the sales and marketing plan to achieve departmental revenue goals, using Bell Notes as part of the process
  • Represent the Club in city and community activities and organizations to provide awareness of the Club and to develop sources for prospective Club Members
  • Develop and execute Club events - minimum of two per month. Attend the events to get to know the membership and learn what events they are most interested in attending
  • Grow attendance at the events leading to reduced Member attrition. Follow up with attendees to see how we can improve the Member events
  • Implement thorough and consistent strategy to best communicate and promote 'ClubLife' through all channels, amplifying the Member story
  • You will receive guidance and support with opportunities for collaboration and invocation with fellow Clubs
  • Customize 'freedom within the framework' marketing and programs to meet Club standards
  • Share best practices and new ideas across markets to leverage relevance and trends
  • Strategize how to constantly improve Member Growth and the Member Experience

Job Requirements

  • 1 - 2 years of external sales experience
  • Prefer 2 - 4 years of experience on one or more of the following: marketing/communications, hospitality, sales, relationship management, food & beverage operations, customer service, membership associations and/or fundraising
  • Outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills required
  • Strong technical literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to foster relationships with Members, employee partners and other community leaders
  • Creativity, attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Applicant must exhibit a professional appearance
  • Applicant must possess a passion for providing high quality Member service and commitment to exceeding expectations
  • Experience in leading a team or project to a successful outcome is preferred
  • Undergraduate degree preferred
