GHD is hiring a Federal Delivery Leader.

As a member of the US Federal Client Sector leadership team, provides delivery and operational leadership to enable successful Federal Program execution.  This role provides support and direction to Federal Program and Project Managers across the enterprise to deliver sales, revenue, margin, client satisfaction, and quality and safety performance.



  • As US Federal Delivery Leader, support GHD’s Program and Project Managers to deliver successful solutions to our clients’ complex problems. Working closely with our Key Client Account Leaders, commit to exceptional client service through open and honest communication, on-time delivery, and high quality work products
  • Support the US Federal Program and Project Managers, working jointly with Key Client Leaders to mine IDIQ contracts for both Department of Defense and Civilian Agencies
  • Participate in the US Federal Tender (Risk) Review Group at the leadership level;
  • Work closely with Program and Project Managers to achieve exceptional CPARs ratings.  Participate in Client Care Visits to inform implementation of best practices and corrective actions necessary to achieve and maintain top quartile client service performance
  • Review key submissions that are critical for the ongoing performance of federal operations, including Go/No Go reviews
  • Support Program and Project managers in a review capacity in Federal rate development at contract level as well as task order cost estimates


  • Collaborate with other leaders within the business to develop and maintain a high-performance culture
  • Collaborate across the enterprise to develop US Federal Project and Program Managers
  • Assist with succession planning;

  • Support the US Federal Client Sector to develop and deliver on strategic and tactical plans, including sales, revenue, margin, and process improvements
  • Participate in the annual budgeting process, monitor financial metrics, and drive performance to exceed budgeted EBITA target and maintain DSO under targeted goals
  • Participate in the annual business planning process, monitor progress against stated focus areas and quarterly action targets, and drive appropriate behaviors to achieve goals within the US Federal Client Sector
  • Monitor Federal Program performance through review of monthly KPI reports (with particular regard to profitability, risk, collections, and work in hand) together with any required corrective actions
  • Refine standard processes for improvement as they influence ROI
  • Actively support the procedures relating to invoicing and collections
  • Implementation of the GHD Management Systems for Safety, Integrity, Quality, and Environment
  • Implementation of GHD risk management practices in accordance with relevant procedures and US Federal Acquisition Regulations
  • Monitor Federal HSE performance and collaborate with Regional Safety Manager, Business Group Leaders, and other leaders within the business to create and maintain a behavior-based safety culture that exceeds HSE performance targets
  • Monitor Federal compliance with QS Policy and collaborate with regional leaders to drive behaviors to achieve and maintain top quartile quality assurance practices
  • Identify projects that have above average risks and consequences, and monitor risk management activities throughout project execution through regular check-in meetings with Program and Project Managers
  • Provide early notification of potential claims and proactively manage outcomes
