Classification: Entry Level Accountant

Compensation: $30000.00 to $45000.00 yearly

Robert Half Finance & Accounting has an exciting opportunity for an entry-level accountant with a growing, custom construction company located on the southside of Jacksonville. Reporting to the Controller, this role will be responsible for the following:

- Verify invoice amount, remittance address, & sales tax amount. Verify Vendor’s W-9 and Certificates of
Insurance are on file and up to date, if required. Match invoices with subcontract agreements , Purchase
Orders and receiving tickets
- Monitor & enforce lien waiver compliance for Subcontractor payments
- Entering Invoices into Foundation software
- Entering Subcontracts and Purchase Orders
- Attach check copies to invoices & related documents
- Distributes signed checks as required
- Review and reconcile monthly vendor statements
- Research missing invoices and discrepancies to correct issues
- Handle inquiries (written and verbal) from vendors on status of payment
- Setup vendors in the accounting software
- Track return of lien waivers from Subcontractors/Vendors for each project draw
- Track Notices to Owner received from Subcontractors & Suppliers
