The CSI Companies is actively seeking a Certified Dental Assistant for a well-known healthcare provider, one of the Southeast most comprehensive academic health centers in the Jacksonville, FL area. This is a 3-month contract position and we are actively seeking candidates who are certified!
Schedule: Hours vary depending on surgeries but need to be flexible Monday through Friday, 8 am-4:30 pm. Some weeks will be part-time and others will be full-time.

Job DescriptionUnder the supervision of a licensed dentist or resident, assists with dental and medical procedures including setup. Assists chair-side in providing dental and medical support services within the scope set forth by the Florida Board of Dentistry. Works with faculty, residents, and staff to ensure the delivery of safe and aseptic care of patients. • Assists faculty, residents, and student’s chair-side in the practice of four-hand dentistry. • Maintain dental operating areas and equipment in good condition; sterilize instruments; take digital x-rays; assist in organizing and controlling the use of clinic supplies. • Participate in clinical in-service training programs, learn new methods through in-service training participation (i.e. required to maintain current certification in CPR). • Assists faculty, residents, and students with procedures done under Conscious sedation and in the care of patients. • Greets and prepares patient for treatment; establishes rapport with the patient in order to relieve their anxiety; collects patient data pertaining to clinical research; and instructs patients in oral hygiene, pre-operative instructions, and post-operative instructions. • Maintain daily electronic medical records and patient documents as per clinic protocol. • Set-up of oral surgery equipment for extractions, dental implants, biopsies, and other oral & maxillofacial surgeries in a safe manner. (after competencies are completed for each area of operation).
- Must be a Certified Dental Assistant
- Current BLS Certification
- 2 years prior experience within an oral maxillofacial surgery setting is preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
