What you will be doing:
GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
u2022 Plans, performs and implements process improvement initiatives, e.g., ISO, Lean or Six Sigma.
u2022 Responsible for most complex business and systems process analysis, design and simulation.
u2022 Diagrams and evaluates existing processes.
u2022 Organizes, leads and facilitates cross-functional project teams.
u2022 Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
u2022 Recommends and facilitates quality improvement efforts.
u2022 Collects data to identify root cause of problems.
u2022 Measures performance against process requirements.
u2022 Aligns improvement to performance shortfalls.
u2022 Provides consultation on the use of re-engineering techniques to improve process performance and product quality.
u2022 May deliver presentations and training courses including measurement, analysis, improvement and control.
u2022 Surveys and analyzes best practices for techniques and processes.
u2022 May lead re-engineering team and act as project manager.
u2022 Communicates team progress.
u2022 Performs cost and benefit analyses.
u2022 Other related duties assigned as needed.
What you bring:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, computer science or information systems or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
u2022 Broad knowledge of FIS' products and services, business practices and processes
u2022 Requires highest level understanding of organization's business systems and industry requirements
u2022 In-depth knowledge of financial services industry practices, regulations and processes
u2022 Basic knowledge of one or more end-to-end systems development life cycles, i.e., waterfall, iterative and other modern approaches to software development and conversion methodologies
u2022 Advanced knowledge of the tools, techniques and principles used in business process development, documentation and re-engineering
u2022 Advanced proficiency in at least one appropriate process methodology, e.g., ISO, Lean, Six Sigma
u2022 Proficiency in quality management methods, tools and technologies
u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors
u2022 Excellent training/presentation skills to educate the organization on new or updated processes
u2022 Willingness to shares relevant technical, process, and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources
u2022 Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, interpersonal, team-building, negotiation, conflict management and time management skills
u2022 Ability to persuade and influence others on the best approach to take
u2022 Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed
u2022 Is resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas
Preferred Knowledge and Experience:
- Self-starter able to support program deliverables and be responsible for managing activities to conclusion.
- Project and client facing experience in implementing financial institution software.
- Strong understanding of project timeline management and tracking risks, issues and dependencies for the outlined tasks.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodology and tools used in support sprint / incremental delivery.
- Overall project management skills such as negotiation, collaboration, time management, team management, financial reporting and problem solving
